Restoring and Reinstalling Software

1.

For TLA7012 Portable Mainframes and for TLA7PC1 Benchtop Mainframes
(serial numbers B010000 to B019999), restart the logic analyzer and then
press function key F2 repeatedly to enter the BIOS setup.

2.

For TLA7PC1 Benchtop Mainframes (serial numbers B020000 or higher)
restart the logic analyzer and then press the Delete key repeatedly to enter
the BIOS setup.

3.

In the BIOS setup, go to the Boot menu.

4.

Set the Boot devices for your instrument. (See Table 6.) Follow the on-screen
instructions to change the settings.

Save the settings by pressing function key F10 and con

save the new settings.

Load the Hard Disk Image.

Complete the following steps to load the Hard Disk

Image.

1.

Insert the Hard Disk Image CD in the CD drive.

2.

Reboot the logic analyzer and follow the on-screen instructions. The
procedure automatically installs and sets up the logic analyzer application.

NOTE.

Use care when proceeding through the software license agreement. Ensure

that you make the proper selections.

3.

After the image is loaded, remove the CD and reboot the logic analyzer.

4.

A Systems Settings Change error message may display. If so, restart the
instrument so that your changes can take effect. Click Yes to restart the
instrument.

5.

Reinstall any user

fi

les that you backed up previously. Reinstall any software

(such as the microprocessor support packages) that you want to use on the
logic analyzer.

6.

If desired, recon

fi

gure the TLA network interface.
