Attach the probe to the circuit.
4.
Adjust the probe offset to bring the trace to
the oscilloscope zero reference.
5.
Change the volts/division setting to the
desired range, adjusting the offset to keep
the trace on the zero reference level.
NOTE.
The probe has a ±10 V offset range. The linear operating range is ±4 V. (See Figure 1 on page 14.) If cursors are used on
the oscilloscope, the zero reference will be at the probe offset voltage. When you adjust the probe offset with no signal applied to
the probe input, the output range is ±4V, (the linear operating range of the probe), not the ±10V offset range of the probe. However,
when you apply ±10V to the probe input, the probe offset control can zero this offset.
