11. APPENDIX

11.1. UPDATING THE SW

To update the machine SW it is necessary to change the contents of the FLASH EPROM on the 386
board by means of an external PC connected to the CSAFE port on the machine, situated on the
lower part of the display panel.

The PC can only update the FLASH EPROM while the machine is being switched on,
before the power-on reset procedure begins.
