Error Messages

Zone IDs: T-F = Top Front, T-R = Top Rear, B-F = Bottom Front, B-M = Bottom Middle, B-R = Bottom Rear

Table 3-2

TOO HOT

This error occurs when the temperature of any zone is
79°F (43.9°C) above set point. The temperature icon for
the corresponding zone will turn red. If a Cook cycle is in
progress, it will not be interrupted. The error message will
display at the end of the Cook cycle, and another cycle
cannot be started.

TOO COOL

This error occurs when the temperature of any zone is
39°F (21.7°C) below set point. If a Cook cycle is in



progress, it will not be interrupted. The error message will
display at the end of the Cook cycle, and another cycle
cannot be started.

PROBE FAULT

This error occurs when a zone temperature falls below
set point and the control does not detect an increase in
temperature within 4 minutes for that zone. The error
message will flash on the display, and the alarm will
sound.

To troubleshoot, check the following:

•

Check incoming power

•

Check contactor coil voltage

•

Replace wire harness

PROBE OPEN (ZONE ID)

This errors occurs when an open probe condition occurs.
When this happens, the control will turn the heater



associated with the bad probe off. If the open probe



condition goes away, the control will return to the Idle
mode. The “PROBE OPEN” error message may be



canceled by pressing any key on the display. If there is a
“TOP TEMP” probe open condition, flat menu item Cook
cycles may be started, but clam menu item Cook cycles
are not allowed.

To troubleshoot, check the following:

•

Check all thermocouple connections

•

OHM bad thermocouple

•

Swap motor control boards
