To configure a firewall to allow SQL server connections

Open the Control Panel on the computer with SQL Server installed, and then
click Windows Firewall.

In the Windows Firewall dialog box, on the Exceptions tab, click Add
Program.

Click Browse, and navigate to the instance of SQL Server that you want to
access through the firewall, and then click Open.
For example, browse to
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL
Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Binn\Sqlservr.exe
.
Note that the path may be different depending on where SQL Server 2005 is
installed and which instance you are using.

If you still cannot connect to the SQL server remotely, try adding TCP port
1433 to the firewall exceptions list.
About ports used by Intel AMT
By default, Intel SCS (a component of the OOB site server) listens on port 9971.
Intel AMT devices send their Hello packets to this port.
Intel SCS and Altiris solutions that support out-of-band management communicate
with Intel AMT devices using the following ports:

In non-secure mode, Intel AMT devices listen on port 16992
■
In TLS mode, Intel AMT devices listen on port 16993
