Table B-1
Out of Band Management Component Intel AMT filters (continued)
Description
Filter
This filter contains computers that have the same Fully
Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) in both Inv_OOB_AMT_Device
(which is populated when a system is Fully Configured and a
synchronization has occurred) and Inv_AeX_AC_Location
(populated by the Altiris Agent's basic inventory). Basic
inventory is sent from computers that are running the Altiris
Agent and are a managed resource in Notification Server .
To remove these duplicated resources, run the Resource
Synchronization policy with the following option checked:
Remove duplicate Intel AMT resources from Notification
Server database.
See
“Synchronizing Intel SCS and Notification Server
resources”
on page 88.
Duplicated Intel
AMT/NotificationServer
Computers
This filter is populated when a resource synchronization has
occurred.
See
“Synchronizing Intel SCS and Notification Server
resources”
on page 88.
It contains systems that are known to Intel SCS but are not
configured for any reason. For example, a setup and
configuration profile has not been assigned or Out of Band
Management Component cannot assign an FQDN to this Intel
AMT device.
Non-configured Intel
AMT Computers
This filter shows Intel AMT capable computers with Intel AMT
functionality enabled in BIOS.
This filter is populated using the Out of Band Discovery Task
through the Altiris Agent.
This task copies down an .exe that executes and checks the
target computer for AMT functionality. This task detects Intel
AMT capabilities of the target computers even if Intel AMT is
not configured or not enabled in BIOS.
See
“Discovering out-of-band capable computers”
on page 52.
