SATA Port 0 – SATA Port 7
Hot Plug
Select Enable to support Hot-plugging for the device installed on a selected SATA port
which will allow the user to replace the device installed in the slot without shutting down
the system. The options are
Enable
and Disable.
Spin Up Device
On an edge detect from 0 to 1, set this item to allow the SATA device installed on the SATA
port specified by the user to start a COMRESET initialization. The options are Enable and
Disable
.
SATA Device Type
Use this item to specify if the device installed on the SATA port selected by the user should
be connected to a Solid State drive or a Hard Disk Drive. The options are
Hard Disk Drive
and Solid State Drive.
sSATA Configuration
When this submenu is selected, the BIOS automatically detects the presence of the sSATA
devices that are supported by the Intel PCH chip and displays the following items:
sSATA Controller
This feature enables or disables the onboard SATA controller supported by the Intel PCH
chip. The options are
Enable
and Disable.
Configure sSATA as
(Available when SATA Controller is enabled)
Select AHCI to configure a SATA drive specified by the user as an AHCI drive. Select RAID
to configure a SATA drive specified by the user as a RAID drive. The options are
AHCI
and
RAID. If this is set as RAID, the following two options appears.
SATA/sSATA RAID Boot Select
Select the boot capability for SATA and sSATA RAID controllers. The options are None,
SATA Controller,
sSATA Controller
, and Both.
sSATA RAID Option ROM/UEFI Driver
Select EFI to load the EFI driver for system boot. Select Legacy to load a legacy driver for
system boot. The options are
Legacy
, EFI, and Disable.
SATA HDD Unlock
(Available when SATA Controller is enabled)
Select Enable to unlock SATA HDD password in the OS. The options are
Enable
and Disable.
Aggressive Link Power Management
When this item is set to Enabled, the SATA AHCI controller manages the power use of the
SATA link. The controller will put the link in a low power mode during an extended period of
