Air Shroud
Generally you do not need to remove the air shroud to perform any service on the system.
However, if you need to temporarily remove it (the air shroud should always be in place when
the system is operating), follow this procedure.
Air shrouds concentrate airflow to maximize fan efficiency. The SC1018G chassis air shroud
does not require screws to set up.
Installing the Air Shroud
Begin by removing power from the system as described in Section 3.1 and removing the
chassis cover as described in Section 3.2.
1.
Place the air shroud in the chassis so that it fits between the middle bracket and the
rear window.
2. Insert the front hooks of the air shroud into the gaps on the back of the middle fan
bracket.
3. Replace the chassis cover and system power.
