The automatic locking function’s opera-
tional/non-operational setting and the set-
ting for the locking time period can be
changed using the monitor. For details,

Vehicle without navigation system:
The automatic locking function can be
cancelled by a SUBARU dealer. We rec-
ommend that you contact the nearest
SUBARU dealer for details.
Opening the trunk lid/rear
gate

Vehicle without double locking sys-
tem
Sedan:
The trunk lid unlocks when the “
” but-
ton is pressed continuously for at least 1.5
seconds. At this time, the hazard warning
lights flash twice.
Station wagon:
Pressing the “
” button opens the rear
gate.

Vehicles with double locking sys-
tem
When the “OPEN” button is pressed con-
tinuously for at least 2 seconds, all four
doors unlock and the trunk lid (Sedan)
then unlocks.
Interior light interlock func-
tion
The interior light illuminates when the
“
” or “OPEN” button is pressed.
These lights will illuminate for approxi-
mately 15 seconds and gradually go out.
When the “
” or “LOCK” button is
pressed, the interior light immediately
goes out. Also, these lights will start going
out if the key is turned to the “ON” position.
The interior light switch must be set to
the
middle position
in order for this function
to operate.
The setting for the illumination period for
these lights can be changed by a
SUBARU dealer in accordance with your
wishes.
