Selecting preset stations
1) Indicator light
2) Preset button
Presetting a station with a preset button
allows you to later select that station in a
single operation. Up to six AM, FM1 and
FM2 stations each may be preset. The
LED at the top of each button will come on
when a station is assigned to that button.
V
How to preset stations
1. Press the “FM” or ”AM” selection but-
ton to select AM, FM1 or FM2 reception.
2. Use the “TRACK/TUNE” knob to select
the radio station that you wish to register.
3. Press one of the preset buttons for
at
least two seconds
to store the frequen-
cy. The frequency of the station will flash
once on the display at this time. If the but-
ton is pressed for less than two seconds,
the preceding selection will remain in
memory.
NOTE
If the connection between the radio
and battery is broken for any reason
such as vehicle maintenance or radio
removal, all stations stored in the pre-
set buttons are cleared. If this occurs,
it is necessary to preset the desired
stations again.
Built-in CD changer opera-
tion
NOTE
y
Make sure to always insert a disc
with the label side up. If you insert a
disc with the label side down, it might
be ejected or the player might shut off.
y
If a disc is inserted during a radio
broadcast, the disc will interrupt the
broadcast.
y
After the last track finishes, the
changer will automatically return to
track 1 (the first track on the disc) and
start playback.
y
The CD changer is designed to han-
dle only 12 cm/5 inch CDs. Do not at-
tempt to use an 8 cm/3 inch CD. Doing
so could cause damage.
y
The CD changer is designed to be
able to play music CD-Rs and CD-RWs.
However, unsuitable recording proper-
ties, unsuitable disc properties,
scratches, dirt, and other factors may
render it unable to play certain discs of
these types.
Also, the CD changer cannot play any
CD-R or CD-RW that has not been final-
ized (processed for playability in a nor-
mal CD player).
y
The CD changer cannot play CD-
ROMs and MP3 CDs.
y
The CD changer cannot display CD
text.
