Start diesel engine
WARNING
Risk of poisoning due to exhaust gases
Operation of the diesel engine in non-ventilated or closed
locations may cause poisoning or even death.
•
Connect the exhaust to a required ventilation system
before operating the diesel engine in a closed location.
•
Ensure sufficient ventilation.
WARNING
Accidental rolling of machine
Risk of serious injuries or even death.
•
Only start the diesel engine from the driver seat.
NOTE
It is imperative to observe the enclosed operating instructions
of the engine manufacturer.
1. Switch the battery disconnector on.
→ Power supply is connected.
2. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock.
3. Set the manual throttle lever to idle position.
4. Turn the ignition key to position I and wait for the terminal
to finish booting.

This will take approx. 4 seconds, after a longer
downtime of the machine up to 3 minutes.

In order to ensure proper operation, the terminal
must have finished booting
before
starting the diesel
engine.
5. Turn the ignition key to position II.
6. Turn the ignition key to position III and keep hold of it
against the spring pressure, until the diesel engine starts.

Hold for a max. of 30 seconds, in order to prevent
overheating of the starter.

Release the ignition key as soon as the diesel
engine starts.
–
ATTENTION
– Damage to the starter. If the diesel
engine does not start, wait for at least 2 minutes
before carrying out another start attempt.
7. Let the cold diesel engine warm up in idle position for 3-
5 minutes.
