4
Proximity switch
(
HUSKY DS only
)
5
Adhesive decals
(to describe dangers and how
to avoid them)
6
Miller drum side guards
(to be used during moving
or garaging, they protect from the side milling
cutters)
7 Rear protective devices on cutter drum
8 Signalling headlight
(active with miller or with
miller arm movement)
9 Rear mirror on miller arm
(to control the rear work
area from the driver’s seat)
10
proximity
switch
(
HUSKY DS only
) on scraper piston: the
proximity switch installed on the scraper piston stops the
central auger and the miller from rotating when the miller is
in “up” position and the scraper is positioned down on the
ground (fig. 2).
This arrangement is required to prevent accidental contact
with the operating auger.
When the scraper moves up, it obstructs the back side,
thus preventing contact with the rotating auger (fig.1).
Auger rotation when the scraper is lowered (fig. 2) can be
controlled by pressing the “man present” button on the
pushbutton panel (the button must be pressed to work) at a
safe distance (pushbutton cable length).
Auger rotation when the scraper is lowered can also be
controlled by pressing an
optional
button (the button must
be pressed to work) installed in a safe position
.
11 Emergency button
(press the red button to stop the
machine
when an emergency arises)
(
HUSKY DS

12 Safety valves
(close them during travel a
nd
maintenance)
13
Cardan shaft covers, code
96031018
(to protect the
operator from getting entangled and dragged by
moving parts in the transmission)
14 Cardan shaft chains
(to support the cardan shaft and
prevent it from accidentally falling when the drawbar
is up)
15
Wedges, code 98400568
(to lock the wheels)
16
Manual parking support foot

MACHINE CLUTCH MANUFACTURED ACCORDING
TO ACCIDENT-PREVENTION REGULATION CEE - EN
703 -
In compliance with
standard EN 703, a
screw conveyor
stop system has
been installed to
avoid danger
situations. This
system basically
consists of a clutch
(fig. 3) inside the
gearbox that is
automatically
connected and disconnected by means of proper devices.
A danger situation is such whenever the possibility exists to
come into contact with the auger while it is running and the miller
arm is in partially or fully “up” position.
With machine in transport conditions (i.e. when the miller arm is
lowered), the auger can rotate freely. If the cardan shaft turns, the
auger is kept in motion by a proximity switch located on the miller
frame. On the other hand, the auger stops if the miller arm is raised
above a predefined level.
The height of the arm at which the auger stops depends on the size
of the protections installed on the miller. It may vary from 80 to 100
cm. approx.
If the miller arm is raised, the auger can rotate only when the miller
is working. In this case the auger control is associated to the miller
control.
In the event of malfunctioning, contact our dealer.
