IBM Ultrium Tape Drive
Replacement
1. Set the drive on a work surface, making sure the cables away from the drive so that they
does not get pinched.
2. Slide the drive tray over the drive so that the cables do not get pinched.
3. Ensure that the DIPs on the bottom of the new IBM Ultrium drive are set to SCSI address
15h. (Refer to the drive’s documentation.)
4. Use a Torx T-10 bit to install the four screws on the bottom of the drive tray.

CAUTION:

5. Reconnect the interface cable, TTI cable, and the power cable to the drive.
Note:
If the drive has a SCSI interface, ensure that the jumper that enables TERMPWR for
the drive is in place if the removed drive had the jumper. The pins and jumper are
next to the power cable connection on the rear of the drive.
