General commissioning
Commissioning
If the vehicle is delivered only partially assem-
bled, ensure before commissioning that the
whole truck has been professionally assem-
bled. All hydraulic and electrical connections
have to be checked. The connections, which
must be disassembled for shipping should be
reassembled carefully. All nuts and bolts must
be tightened to the appropriate torque. After
the oil levels on the hydraulic tank and gear
box have been checked, commissioning can
begin. This commissioning should be done
professionally be our service personnel. Be-
fore starting work, work through the Checklist
before starting work.
Transporting and loading
ENVIRONMENT NOTE
Separating hydraulic connections can result in
the emergence of hydraulic oil.
Depending on the overall height, the truck
can be delivered assembled or dismantled. In
either case, the weight of the components or
the overall truck must be ascertained (delivery
papers) and suitable hoisting equipment must
be placed ready.
Hoisting
NOTE
We recommend using textile straps in order to
protect the paintwork. Shims should also be
used to protect the slings from sharp edges.
The lifting points for the chassis or for smaller
trucks with welded-in mast are the longitudinal
supports over the battery compartment and
the front ends of the load wheel supports. For
higher masts, a cross beam is located at the
upper end. This is suitable for lifting the whole
truck.
The chassis is always mechanically braked as
long as the vehicle is not in service.
