7.9 Generator Flush
Control
If the sterilizer is equipped with an integral steam generator,
GENERATOR FLUSH CONTROL set up consists of two options:
FLUSH TIME (#48) and FLUSH DURATION (#49).
• Flush duration applies when utilities are being controlled
automatically or manually.
• Flush time only applies when utilities are being controlled
manually. When utilities are controlled automatically, flush
occurs one hour before restart time.
• A daily generator flush is not performed if sterilizer is powered on
after the scheduled flush time. The sterilizer performs a flush at
the next scheduled time (if powered on). A flush can be initiated
any time by pressing the
Run Generator Flush button (at the
Utility Control screen).
7.9.1 Set up Generator Flush
When Manual Utilities Control
Enabled
Manual Utilities Control must be highlighted on Utility Control
screen (#39).
Important: Flush cycle occurs at scheduled time whether sterilizer is
at STANDBY or MAIN MENU . If in cycle, flush occurs when cycle is
completed. Remember to close the operator-end door after
unloading to avoid an extended flush cycle depressurize phase.
1. Select GENERATOR FLUSH Control from screen #39.
• If Manual Utilities Control are enabled, control advances to
generator flush and drain scheduling screen (#48). Screen
#48 allows user set up of flush time and flush duration.
• Default automatic generator flush time is 6:00 PM, duration is
10 minutes.
