3.3.4 SOUND CONTINUITY
PLEASE NOTE: Turn off the test circuit power
•
SELECT THE function using the rotary knob and
the FUNC button.
•
Insert the black wire in the COM terminal.
•
Insert the red wire in the V-Ω-RPM terminal.
•
Connect a test probe to each end of the tested
circuit. If the circuit is closed, the meter will emit a
continuous beep.
•
If the circuit is open, no sound signal will be heard
and the display will show OL (over limit).
3.3.5 CAPACITY
PLEASE NOTE: Turn off the test circuit power
PLEASE NOTE: When checking the circuit capacity, make
sure that the circuit is disconnected from the power supply
and all capacitors are completely discharged.
•
Select the
range with the rotary knob and the
FUNC. button.
•
Insert the black wire in the COM terminal.
•
Insert the red wire in the V-Ω-RPM terminal.
•
Touch the capacitive circuit to be tested with the
measuring cable probes.
•
Read the measured value from the LCD display.
3.3.6. AC OR DC DETECTION
PLEASE NOTE: The current must always be measured with
probes connected in series
PLEASE NOTE: Turn off the circuit power or disconnect the
circuit from the power source.
PLEASE NOTE: The current must not exceed 600V AC or DC
PLEASE NOTE: Do not exceed 30 seconds when measuring
direct current between 1A-20A.
•
Select the range -A-, -mA- or -uA- using the rotary
knob.
•
Press the FUNC. button to select AC or DC.
•
Insert the black cable in the COM terminal.
•
Insert the red cable in the A or mA terminal.
•
Connect the red probe to the place in the circuit
closest to the power source.
•
Connect the black probe to the place nearest to
ground.
3.3.7 TEMPERATURE (° C/° F)
PLEASE NOTE: To avoid damage to the thermometer,
keep it away from sources of very high temperature. The
temperature probe life will also decrease when the probe is
subjected to very high temperatures. The range of correct
operation of the probe is -14ºC to 250ºC.
•
Select the ºC or ºF function using the rotary knob
and the FUNC. button.

with the tip of the temperature sensor.
3.3.8 FREQUENCY
•
Select the Hz frequency function using the rotary
knob and the FUNC. button.
•
Insert the black wire in the COM terminal.
•
Insert the red wire in the V-Ω-kRPM terminal.
•
Connect the black test probe to ground.
•
Connect the red test probe to the sensor 'output
signal' cable.
3.3.9 DWELLING ANGLE
•
Select the DWELL function with the rotary knob and
the FUNC. button.
•
Insert the black wire in the COM terminal.
•
Insert the red wire in the V-Ω-kRPM terminal.
•
Connect the black test probe to ground.
•
Connect the red test probe to the cable connected to
the breaker points
3.3.10 DUTY CYCLE
•
Select the Duty function using the rotary knob and
the FUNC. button.
•
Insert the black cable into the COM jack.
•
Insert the red wire into the V-Ω-kRPM terminal.
•
Connect the black test probe to ground.
•
Connect the red test probe to the signal cable circuit.
