Installation
The cover flap features an insert disc which can be used to enter the assignment of the
field devices to the channels. IS Wizard can be used, for example, to label the insert disc.
• Connect the field devices to the X1 pluggable terminals according to terminal
assignment (see the "Project engineering" section or insert disc on the inside of
the cover) (stripping length of at least 7 mm).
• Place the field wiring shields (if available) as close to the entry point of the field
enclosure on the earthing rail as possible.
• Where necessary, connect the external power supply for discrete outputs to pluggable
terminal X0 (tightening torque 0.5 to 0.6 Nm).
• Where necessary, connect the "Plant STOP" electric circuit to pluggable terminal X0
(tightening torque 0.5 to 0.6 Nm).
• Plug the pluggable terminals X0 and X1 into the module and secure them against
loosening using screws (tightening torque 0.5 to 0.6 Nm).
• Attach the IP30 cover on X0.
DANGER
Explosion hazard due to incorrect field devices and field circuit designs
or settings!
Non-compliance results in severe or fatal injuries.
• Comply with national installation regulations
(e.g. IEC/EN 60079-14).
• Ensure that there is a distance of at least 50 mm
(tight string length) between connecting units of intrinsically safe
and non-intrinsically safe field circuits.
Operation under difficult conditions, such as, in particular, on ships,
requires additional measures to be taken for correct installation,
depending on the place of use. Further information and instructions on this
can be obtained from your regional sales contact on request.
