8.2.1 Mounting the IP30 Cover
8.2.2 Mounting / Dismounting on BusRail
Mounting on BusRail
• Plug in terminal X0 and secure using safety screws.
• Snap the IP30 cover for X0 into place on the module enclosure, see Section 8.2.1.
• Position the module vertically at the intended slot of the BusRail and press lightly to
snap it into place.
• Plug the pluggable terminal X1 into the module and secure it against loosening using
safety screws (tightening torque 0.5 to 0.6 Nm).
• To ensure a distance of at least 50 mm between the intrinsically safe and
non-intrinsically safe electrical circuits, if necessary, mount a partition (220101) on the
adjacent Ex i module or leave a space between the Ex i and non-Ex i modules.
Note:
The partition can be mounted only on Ex i modules.
If the Ex i module has 2 terminal blocks, the partition must be machined further
(predetermined breaking point).
The supplied IP30 cover must be mounted on the module enclosure.
It can be attached before or after installation.
Please note: Once the cover has been mounted, it cannot be removed at a
later time.
