Engineering
The following conditions must be observed during project engineering:
• To ensure adherence with the intended use, only install the device on the
9494 IS1 BusRail.
• Operation of the device is only permissible in three approved mounting positions:
See the "Mounting/dismounting on BusRail" section.
• Modules with intrinsically safe and non-intrinsically safe field circuits may be operated
simultaneously on one BusRail. In this case, a distance of 50 mm must be maintained
between the terminals with intrinsically safe and those with non-intrinsically safe field
circuits (e.g. partition 220101 or empty space).
6.1
Terminal Assignment of the pluggable Terminal X0
Used to connect an external auxiliary power source to the supply for 3-conductor
PNP proximity switches (DI) or solenoid valves (24 V / 0.5 A) (DO),
where two terminals also exist for "Plant STOP".
If terminals 3 and 4 are not used for "Plant STOP", they should be bridged
(jumper is included in delivery).
NOTE
An ambient temperature that is too high may cause failure of the devices installed
in the cabinet.
Non-compliance can result in material damage.
• Install and adjust the cabinet in such a way that it is always operated within
the permissible temperature range.
This module is not supported by the Ethernet 9441 CPU module.
Alternatively, the 9442 CPU can be used!
A protective cover for IP30 is included in delivery.
Attach this cover in order to prevent contact between Ex i electrical circuits
and non-Ex i electrical circuits.
