Ex n HART universal module, Zone 2
Series 9469/35
8.2.3 Dismounting / Replacement of the Module
• During operation in a non-hazardous area, it is functionally possible to insert/remove
X0 and X1 terminals at any time.
• If there is no field cable connected or if this is de-energised, the module can be
mounted on or removed from the BusRail.
• The pluggable X0 and X1 cable connections may only be plugged in or removed in
the hazardous area if they are de-energised. Disconnect all the electrical circuits
connected to terminals X0 and X1 from the supply.
• Loosen the screws of pluggable terminals X0 and X1.
• Disconnect pluggable terminals X0 and X1 from the module to be replaced.
• Pull the blue notch lever of the module upwards to unlock the module.
• Remove the module vertically from the BusRail.
• Place the new module vertically onto the BusRail and press it lightly to snap it
into place.
• Plug in the pluggable terminals and secure them on the device using screws to prevent
them from loosening (tightening torque 0.5 to 0.6 Nm) based on the module type.
• Attach the IP30 cover to X0 (see above).
Replacing modules
When replacing an IS1 9461/15 and 9466/15 module and, sometimes, 9477/15
(if the polarity, switching capacity and number of channels are compatible)
with an IS1+ 9469/35 module, note the following:
• Ensure that the terminal assignment is adapted to that of the 9469/35
(see table below).
• In order to use the new IS1+ functions, update the firmware of the 9440 CPM or
9441 CPU if necessary.
• If necessary, use a current GSD in PROFIBUS-DP operation.
• Please contact your responsible distributor for further information.
When replacing the module with a module with identical design, the set
parameters are maintained. No further user adjustments are necessary.
When replacing the module with a module with a different function,
the module reports a configuration error (red "ERR" LED flashes).
The module must be either re-configured or replaced with a module of
correct type.
