NMEA MESSAGE SELECT
Settings:
HDM
The HDM message is selected as magnetic compass head-
ing input = default setting.
HDG
The HDG message is selected as magnetic compass head-
ing input.
WARNING
Risk of deviation
In case the magnetic compass is selected as active heading source and
magnetic compass heading messages HDG or HDM are selected as
NMEA input, this messages always transfer uncorrected / not true head-
ing.
Navigating with the magnetic sensor as active heading source may
therefore cause deviation.
Always have in mind, that the gyrocompass is providing true heading
and is the more reliable active heading source.
A magnetic compass heading source should be selected as active head-
ing source only in case of failure of the gyrocompass(es).
Note
The magnetic compass heading messages HDG/ HDM are always trans-
ferred as uncorrected / not true heading.
CAM
NMEA BAUDRATE
Settings:
4800
The NMEA CAM input is transferred at 4800 Bd
= default setting.
9600
The NMEA CAM input is transferred at 9600 Bd.
38400
The NMEA CAM input is transferred at 38400 Bd.
NMEA MESSAGE SELECT
Settings:
OFF
The NMEA message select is defined that no CAM input is
received = default setting.
ALR/ACK
The ALR/ACK messages are selected as CAM input.
ACN/ALF/ALC
The ACN/ALF/ALC messages are selected as CAM input.
TESTALARM ACTIVE
Settings:
none
The reset to default function is activated / inactivated via
check box.
