7. Go to the ”Service Setup 600” ”SYSTEM SETTINGS” on page 7-7.
8. Edit the required ship information settings.
9. Select the required system type in the system settings and the
required heading correction value (alignment error).
10. Check that the speed filter / speed min./ speed max. values are set to
reasonable values and are well outside the possible range of the ves-
sel’s operating speed. In high-speed craft, the speed max. value will
have to be increased.
Check that the speed filter / time constant value is set to a reasonable
value.
11. Make sure, that the SOUND ALARMS check box is selected in the
SOUND sub menu.
12. In case the system type is set to GM (GYRO/MAGN), go to the ”Mon-
itoring” on page 2-25 to set the required Heading Difference Monitor
settings.
13. Select the required data formats for all devices connected to the data
inputs in the Input Manager (Service Setup 600).
14. Select the required data output formats and IEC 61162/ protocol
standard settings in the Output Manager (Service Setup 600).
15. Continue with ”Finalizing the Installation”.
Note If the system is energized without installed gyrosphere, the system will
raise a „GYROPOWER FAIL“ alarm.
Power down the system and install the gyrosphere before the
configuration of the NAVIGAT 100.
Note
The alignment error correction may be set to an approximate value at
this point.
The existing alignment error, however, must be determined exactly later
on and a correct heading correction value entered as required.
