Updating Firmware through the RLC
1.
Download the correct firmware package from Spectra Logic’s web site to a
location accessible by the Spectra 24 library RLC.
2.
Log on the RLC as Admin.
3.
Select
Service > Firmware
; the Firmware screen appears (Figure 6-1).
4.
In the
Upgrade Library Firmware
section, select
Browse
.
5.
In the
Choose file
window that pops up, locate the firmware package, then
select
Open
.
The firmware screen reappears, with the path to the firmware file appearing in
the
Library Firmware File
field.
6.
Select
Upload
.
7.
In the pop-up window that asks
Are you sure?
, select
OK
.
The library begins the update process; this can take up to five minutes to
complete.
When finished, the library automatically cycles power. At that point, the library
loses its connection to the RLC.
8.
When the library has finished re-initializing, log in again to the RLC. The library
is now operating at the new firmware level.
