Perioperative
Perioperative features include
START CASE/END CASE
and a configurable secondary
display (for XPREZZON only). Refer to
page 12-17 for configuration details.
Warnings:
•
Make sure that the case is complete before you touch END CASE.
•
Ending a case will:
-
Turn off NIBP auto readings
-
Suspend the sampling of anesthetic agents
-
Silence alarm tones
-
Disable remote alarm notifications
-
Retain patient information until next case is started or patient is
discharged.
•
Before ending the case, make sure that the patient is being monitored by
other equipment or by a dedicated caregiver for a limited time (such as
when a patient is being transferred to a transport monitor).
•
After a case is ended, ALARM PAUSE should only be used if no patient is
connected to the monitor.
•
If you touch the ALARM PAUSE key when the case is ended, visual and
audible alarms will not be re-initialized until a new case is started or you
manually cancel ALARM PAUSE by touching the key again.
•
ALARM PAUSE after END CASE disables all audible and visual alarm features
until START CASE is selected.
•
Touch ALARM PAUSE again or touch START CASE to re-initialize visual
alarms. Individual parameters may treat an end case differently. Refer to
the appropriate parameter chapter for descriptions of end case
functionality, if applicable.
Perioperative features include:
-
START CASE
and
END CASE
keys - These keys control the operation of the
monitor and modules by case, and pause audible alarms when the alarms
are not needed. However, visual alarm indicators will continue to show
upon
END CASE
, unless Alarms Off is selected.
-
Remote Configurable Display (XPREZZON only) - A secondary display that is
controlled from the monitor's Monitor Setup menu, using the
SECONDARY
CONFIG
. key, and from the menu line, using the
SECONDARY CONTROL
key.
The parameter attributes of the secondary display can be configured
differently than the primary display.
Note:
If your monitor has Standby Mode turned on, the Start Case/End Case keys will
not be available.
