Receiver Does Not Display an ECG Trace
1
Verify that the receiver is tuned to an active telemetry channel
and that LED5 is ON. If LED5 is not ON, try reprogramming the
channel number from the touchscreen. If this fails, reset the
module and retry. If LED5 remains OFF, suspect a defective RF
PCBA or defective Digital PCBA in the module.
2
Verify that LED4 is OFF. If not, reset the module and check
performance again.
3
Retune the receiver to another active transmitter that is known to
be working. If the ECG waveform appears, suspect a transmitter
problem or an interference problem. If not, suspect a defective
receiver or cable. Switch antenna input cables. If the problem
follows the cable, then replace it. If not, the receiver RF PCBA or
the digital PCBA may be the problem.
Specific Receiver Will Not Sign On to Monitor
1
If a telemetry channel will not sign-on to the monitor, verify that
the correct DC power is applied to the module SDLC connector.
If not, the problem lies in the monitor power supply or in the
receiver housing’s power supply (depending upon which you are
using).
2
Try the module in a different housing bay. If this fixes the
problem, suspect a connector problem, a power problem, or an
SDLC problem.
3
If you are hosting 90478 modules on a central station (with
90479-A/B/C telemetry housing), verify that the monitor S/W
version is 1.06.61 or higher for a UCW or Ultraview 1700.
4
If you are hosting 90478 modules on a bedside station, verify that
the minimum monitor software version is as follows:
•
3.67.05 for PC Express
•
3.53.36 for PC Scout and PC Ranger
•
1.06.61 for the UCW and the Ultraview 1700
•
1.02.01 for the Ultraview 1050
•
1.03.03 for the Ultraview 1500 and Ultraview 1600
•
2.00.03 for the Ultraview SL2400, SL2700, SL2800, SL3800
5
If the receiver front-panel LED is ON but the module has not
signed on, there is a hardware failure on the CPU PCBA. Likewise,
if the front-panel LED is blinking, then the CPU PCBA failed the
internal RAM/ROM memory test. In either case, replace the CPU
PCBA.
6
If a module fails to sign on and other modules do sign on in the
same module bay, then the CPU PCBA needs to be replaced.
