Power-Regulated Current Drain Test
First Current Drain Test
1
Turn ON the power supply.
2
Verify that the current drain is less than 8 mA for the 90347 and
90341 transmitters.
3
Connect an SpO
2
adapter cable and sensor to the 90343/91343
transmitters. Verify that the current drain is less than 13.5 mA.
4
Connect an ECG patient simulator to the 91341/91347 transmitter.
Verify that the current drain is less than 8 mA.
If the current drain is more than as specified in the preceding
paragraph, DO NOT continue. Identify and correct the cause.
•
The current drain for the ECG PCBA (90341 [670-0573-03],
90343 [670-0285-00], 90347 [670-0285-02], 91341
[670-1238-xx], 91343 [670-1358-00], and 91347 [670-1238-xx])
by itself is 1 mA or less.
•
The current drain for the TX PCBA (90341 [670-1283-xx], 90343
[670-0939-xx or 670-0917-xx], 90347 [670-0929-xx], 91341
[670-1253-xx], 91343 [670-1363-xx], and 91347 [670-1357-xx])
by itself is 8 mA or less.
•
The current drain for the SpO2 PCBA (90343 [670-0916-00],
91343 [670-0916-01]) is 5.5 mA or less.
Crystal Oscillator Test
Note:
The crystal oscillator test is not used on the 91341, 91343, or
91347.
1
Measure the frequency of the 32.768 kHz oscillator with a 10X
probe at U5-5.
2
Verify that the frequency counter reads XTL X1 frequency divided
by two or 16.384 kHz ±1.0 Hz.
3
DO NOT continue if the frequency is not correct. Identify and
correct the cause (check or replace the crystal, X1, and replace
the PCBA).
