3. SAFETY
3.1 GENERAL INFORMATION ON SAFETY
The following notes give information on how to use and service SOREN rotary
pumps safely.
To work under safe conditions please follow SOREN operating, maintenance
and setting up procedures.
SOREN machines are designed to give operators limited access to high-risk
zones, even though specially trained personnel have sufficient access for
inspection and maintenance works.
The risk zones are protected.
The protection is fastened with various types of devices depending on how
often it has to be removed. No matter what type of fixture is used,
the presence
of a safety guard and relevant danger signals warn the operator of the
risk.
Never use or test the machines without one of its safety guards, unless
supervised by an authorized and specially trained person; be extremely careful
to avoid risk.
