3.4 INSTALLATION
Electricity and service fluid outlets should only be connected up by trained and
authorized personnel.
3.5 SAFETY INSPECTIONS
Before starting up the rotary pump:
•
Make sure all the safety guards and devices have been installed.
•
Make sure the rotary pump is in good working condition.
•
Make sure that all the indicator lights, acoustic signals, gauges and other
safety devices or indicators are working.
After stopping:
•
Make sure the fluid and electricity supplies have been switched off.
3.6 GENERAL SAFETY NORMS
•
Do not use the rotary pump without studying the instructions for use and
familiarizing yourself with the pump and its controls.
•
Never use the rotary pump when a safety device has been disconnected or a
safety guard has been removed.
•
Service fluids and electricity must be switched off when the rotary pump is
not in use.
•
Never use the rotary pump at a speed, pressure and temperature exceeding
those for which it was designed.
3.7 SETTING UP AND MAINTENANCE SAFETY
•
Never operate the rotary pump while other persons are doing maintenance
works.
•
Never force or by-pass the safety devices.
•
Always use the right implement for the operation you have to do.
•
Never do maintenance works while the rotary pump is working unless you
have been properly trained or you have specific orders to do so. Work with
maximum care if you receive orders to set up the rotary pump while it is
working.
•
Service fluid and electricity supplies must be switched off, unless they are
absolutely essential for the operations.
