OIL FILLING
(All models except N.0)
Remove filler plug and fill up to the middle of the sight glass; then put back
filler plug.

OIL REPLACEMENT-“0” PUMPS
(Mod. N.0 only)
Remove breather plug and fill up to the level plugs; put back both the oil level
plugs and breather plug.

BEARING ADJUSTMENT

CONTROL
1. Control regularly to make sure the bearings are tightened properly
2. This operation is done by checking eventual clearance of the rotor holder
shafts when they are turned manually; re-set if there is too much
clearance.
OPERATION PROCEDURE
1.
Loosen set screws of bearing adjusting nuts; loosen upper and lower
bearing adjusting nuts.
2.
Turn the upper shaft clockwise and anti-clockwise; tighten the upper
bearing adjusting nut, until it shows a slight resistance to rotation of upper
shaft; mark the position of the bearing adjusting nut, then loosen it for half
a turn.
3.
Turn the shaft clockwise and anti-clockwise; tighten the lower bearing
adjusting nut, until it shows a slight resistance to rotation of the lower
shaft.
4.
Tighten the upper bearing adjusting nut, up to the previously marked
position.
5.
Tighten the set screws of the upper bearing adjusting nut.
6.
Replace bearings if the shafts are still a bit loose after these operations.
Check to make sure the bearings of each shaft are screwed up tightly
after 60 hours in service and, if necessary, tighten up a bit more.
