GEAR CASE DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY

CASE DISASSEMBLY - N.0 PUMP
1. Disassemble the body and other components from gear case;
2. Remove bottom plug and drain out oil;
3. Remove the four stud bolts;
4. Disassemble cover from gear case using a small plastic hammer, if
necessary; remove the gasket.
Gear case and cover are assembled to match up together.
Mark them so as not to confuse the pieces with others from the same kind
of pumps.
5. Remove shafts together with bearings;
6. Extract shaft oil seals;
7. Remove set screws from gear case cover;
8. Remove bearing adjusting nut from gear case cover; take out the O-rings;
9. Remove front and back bearing cups;
10. Remove bearings from shafts;
It may be necessary to force or destroy the bearings if you have not got an
extractor; in both cases be very careful not to damage the shafts.
