Using Computer Monitors and Projectors
You can connect an external display (such as a computer monitor or a projector)
to your computer, port replicator, or docking station.

Connecting a computer monitor
You can display the images on the computer screen (LCD) onto an external
computer monitor. The external monitor displays the operations you perform on
your computer.
To connect a computer monitor

Make sure the computer monitor is plugged into an AC outlet.

Turn off the computer.

Plug the display cable into the Monitor (VGA) port
on the computer.

Turn on the computer monitor (if it is not already on), and then turn on the
computer.

Press the
Fn
+
F7
key combination to toggle the display between your
computer and the monitor. See “Selecting a display mode” for more
information.
