The MA-140 board mounts nonvolatile memory (
fl
ash memory: IC105) that stores various information
items.
When replacing the MA-140 board, save the various information items in the board before replacement,
then write them to the board after replacement. To save/write, connect this unit with PC using USB and
operate using the service tool. For the service mode, refer to “Section 5 Service Mode”.

1. Back up various information items. (Refer to Section 2-5-1.)
2. When information items cannot be backed up in step 1, print a test pattern (16STEP) if possible.
(Refer to Section 2-2-2.)
When the test pattern (16STEP) is unable to be printed, prepare it printed by the proper set.
3. Replace the MA-140 board. (Refer to Section 1-5-2.)
4. Write

5. Write the backed up information items. (Refer to Section 2-5-3.)
Perform the processing required for backup when information items cannot be backed up in step 1.
