Adjustment

2-1. Operation during Replacement of Parts

In this unit, parts that must be adjusted after replacement of parts are as follows:

Thermal head:

Adjusts the voltage and position.

Ribbon drive assembly: Sets the ratio of takeup tension.

DC fan (for inside):

Resets the history of fan rotation.

MA-140 board:

Copies various information items stored in nonvolatile memory.

The adjustments are mainly performed using the service mode. Refer to “Section 5 Service Mode” for the
service mode.

Perform each operation in order according to the procedure.

Use media 2UPC-C55 to print a test pattern.

For upgrading the

rmware, refer to section 2-5-2.
