Solders
Grease an entire loop of the gear
portion of the position motor.
1-6-4. Stepping Motor
1. Remove the top panel (C2) assembly. (Refer to Section 1-4-1.)
2. Remove the side panel (L). (Refer to step 4 in Section 1-4-2.)
3. Remove the ribbon drive assembly. (Refer to Section 1-6-2.)
4. Remove the helical extension spring and three screws
(BVTT3
x
6), then remove the stepping motor bracket
from the timing belt.

Take care not to damage the timing belt. If damaged, it
may cause the out of joint.
5. Remove the three screws (PS3
x
4), then remove the
stepping motor.
6. Disconnect the harness from the stepping motor.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
1-6-5. Position Motor
1. Remove the top panel (C2) assembly. (Refer to Section 1-4-1.)
2. Remove the side panel (L). (Refer to step 4 in Section 1-4-2.)
3. Remove the three screws (BVTT3
x
6), then remove
the DC motor bracket.
4. Remove the two screws (PS2.6
x
5), then remove the
position motor.
5. Unsolder the two pins, then remove the SU-114 board.
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

When installing the position motor, grease the speci-
fi ed grease as shown in the fi gure.
