ted in the up/down motor
during vertical movement to
lower direction of the select
mechanism.
1.
Eject a cartridge manually.
2.
Visually check the cartridge.
• If an abnormality (such as bulge) is
found, do not use the cartridge any lon-
ger.
Tip

3.
Startup the maintenance menu and perform
LOADER AUTO TEST.
Note
To clear this error, perform LOADER AUTO
TEST
Use another cartridge.
• When this test ends successfully, the
previous cartridge may be defective.
Do not use the previous cartridge any
longer.
Tip
For how to handle the defective car-
tridge, contact your local Sony Sales
Office/Service Center.
• When this test ends abnormally, the
select loader assembly may be defec-
tive.

If the cartridge cannot be inserted, turn off and on
the drive and then insert the cartridge again.
• When this error occurs again, the select load-
er assembly may be defective.
• When this error no longer occurs, use the unit
as it is.

1. Press the EJECT button to eject the cartridge.

If the cartridge is not ejected, take the following measures.
• Turn off and on the drive. Press the EJECT button after
startup to eject the cartridge.
• If the cartridge is not ejected even after this operation, eject
it manually.
2. Visually check the cartridge.
• If an abnormality (such as bulge) is found, do not use the
cartridge any longer and go to step 4) in Measures.

3. Insert the same cartridge and check whether this error occurs
again.
If the cartridge cannot be inserted, turn off and on the drive and
then insert the cartridge again.

4. Insert another cartridge and check whether this error occurs
again.
• When this error no longer occurs, check the following.

button on the rear of the drive to eject the cartridge.

EJECT button operation or power off/on operation may generate another alarm code.
