A system error was detected
in Disc Drive LSI 2a (Base
Drive). (On side 1)
1.
Acquire the drive/driver log.
2.
Turn off and on the power.
3.
Eject a cartridge.

If the cartridge is not ejected, take the fol-
lowing measures.
• Turn off and on the drive. Press the
EJECT button after startup to eject the
cartridge.
• If the cartridge is not ejected even after
this operation, eject it manually.
4.
Insert the same cartridge.
• If the cartridge cannot be inserted, turn
off and on the drive and then insert the
cartridge again.
• If this error occurs again, take the fol-
lowing actions.
5.
When parts have been replaced, check their
installation status.
6.
Upgrade the drive firmware to the latest ver-
sion.
• If the same error occurs repeatedly,
send the acquired drive/driver log to
your local Sony Sales Office/Service
