Error remedy method

Refer to section

Horizontal movement of car-
tridge did not end within the
specified time period with in-
ject operation.

Press the EJECT button to eject the car-
tridge.

If the cartridge is not ejected, take the fol-
lowing measures.

• Turn off and on the drive. Press the

EJECT button after startup to eject the
cartridge.

• If the cartridge is not ejected even after

this operation, eject it manually.

Visually check the cartridge.

• If an abnormality (such as bulge) is

found, do not use the cartridge any lon-
ger and go to step 4) in Measures.

Tip

For how to handle the defective car-
tridge, contact your local Sony Sales
Office/Service Center.

Insert the same cartridge and check whether
this error occurs again.
If the cartridge cannot be inserted, turn off
and on the drive and then insert the cartridge
again.

• When this error occurs again, go to

step 4) in Measures.

• When this error no longer occurs, use

the unit as it is.

Insert another cartridge and check whether
this error occurs again.

• When this error no longer occurs,

check the following.

- When this error occurs again by

checking shown in step 3) in
Measures, the previous cartridge
may be defective.
