Storage of damaged wheels and tools

Warning
Be sure to store the wheel, jack and tools properly after use.
1. Damaged tyres, jacks and used tools should be properly
stored in the storage area.
2. Close the tailgate.
Jump start
If the jump start battery is in another vehicle, bring the two cars
close together to connect the two batteries.
1. Press and release the parking brake.
2. Position the gear in the “N” (neutral) position.
3. Turn off all unnecessary instruments (eg hazard warning
lights etc.).
4. Ensure the engine is switched off.
5. Remove the battery cover.
6.
Connect the leads as shown in the figure ( 1 - 2 , 3 - 4 ).

Warning

Make sure that the jump lead is not touching the moving
parts.
•
Make sure that the jump lead is not in contact with any other
metal parts.
1. Start the auxiliary vehicle engine and run for a few minutes.
2. Depress the accelerator pedal of the auxiliary car to
approximately 2000 rpm.
3. Start your vehicle’s engine in the normal way.
4. When the engine is running, disassemble the jump leads
in the reverse order ( 4 , 3 , 2 , 1 ) shown in the illustration.
