Driving the vehicle
The vehicle starts
Automatic transmission
1. Depress the brake pedal and move the gear shift to the “D”
position.
2. Release the brake pedal, slowly depress the accelerator
pedal, and release the parking brake lever.
Put the gear shift in the “D” position, the car will automatically
select the gearing to suit your speed.
The lever can also be placed in the “S” position, enabling manual
gear shifting.
!
Warning
To avoid possible damage to the transmission:
1. Do not engage “R” (Reverse) while the vehicle is moving
forward.
2. Stop your car for more than 3 seconds before “R” (Reverse) is
engaged.
Parking
1. Be sure to use the electronic parking brake.
2. Place automatic gear shift into the “P” parking position.
3. When the car parked on a slope, adjust the direction of the
wheel to prevent vehicles from sliding into the traffic.

Toward the downhill:
Turn the wheel to the kerb and the vehicle moves forward until
the wheel on the side of the kerb gently touches the kerb and
pull the parking brake lever or the electronic parking switch.

Uphill:
Turn the wheel toward the kerb and let the vehicle move
backward until the wheel on the nearside gently touches the
kerb and pull the parking brake lever or the electronic parking
switch.

No kerb - uphill or downhill:
Turn the wheel to the side of the road so that the vehicle will
move away from the centre of the road, and then apply the
parking brake.
Tyre pressure
Tyres should be inflated to the recommended pressure as
indicated in section IX. Technical Information.
Do not use the temporary spare tyre if towing.
