Emergency Measures
1.
Park the car safely off the road on a flat surface.
2. Turn on the hazard warning lights.
3. Apply the electronic parking brake.
4. Slide the gearshift into the “P” position.
5. Turn off the engine.
6. All passengers must leave the vehicle and stand in a safe
place away from the road.
Prepare tools and tyres
Remove the jack, the necessary tools and spare wheel from the
storage area.
The spare tyre is located below
the rear of the vehicle.
To remove the spare tyre,
follow the procedure below.
Spare tyre
Open the tailgate, remove the cover, and remove the spare tyre
cover.
Use the wheel nut wrench to turn
the spare wheel mounting bolt
counterclockwise to lower the spare
tyre. When the spare tyre has lowered
enough to remove it safely lover it to
the ground.
Block the wheels
!
Warning
Be sure to block the appropriate wheels to prevent movement of
the vehicle resulting in personal injury.
The block should be placed against the opposite wheel to the
one being replaced. Therefore if the left front is being replaced
put the block against the right rear wheel.
Car jacking
!
Warning
Be sure to read these notes before using the jack.
• Do not get under the car with jacks only.
• Do not use non-original jacks to lift your car.
• Jacks are designed to lift your car when changing the tyres.
•
Do not raise the car other than from the specified vehicle
support points.
• Do not raise the car when it is not necessary.
• Do not use spacers above or below the jack.
• Do not start or operate the engine while the jack is still
supporting the vehicle. Otherwise the vehicle will suddenly
move, and lead to accidents.
