Basic Configuration
3.2
IMPORTANT
Every time a download is performed, wait until the yellow LED turns
off (in order) to save the data in the EEPROM memory. Then, you
can turn off the equipment or reset it. If the equipment is turned off or
reset during the data saving procedure, the configuration must be
done
again. See the chapter “HI302 Configuration Example” for
more details.
Configuring the HCFG Block
The HCFG block has a series of parameters divided into two categories: operation
parameters and diagnostic parameters.
HART Communication Operation Parameters
•
FIRMWARE_VERSION:
A parameter indispensable
to solve problems. If something is
not working properly, confirm the equipment version, before contacting the technical
support.
•
COMM_BEHAVIOR:
Defines the HI302 behavior
.
It can operate in two ways: if the
parameter is
Autonomous
, the HI302 communicates with the HART devices by using
the previous configuration, i.e., in an independent way. The second way uses bypass
parameters to send and receive HART messages. To do so, this parameter should be
configured as
Bypass
.
