6.7 Electrical connection of fill level controls
Connect the power lead in such
a way that no forces are trans-
ferred to the product (stress-free
connection).
NOTE
Fill level controls E; W; F; H, and J
are mechanical equipment that do not
contain a potential ignition source.
The integrated floating contact can be
considered simple electrical equipment ac-
cording to DIN EN 60079-11, Section 5.7
(exception: fill level control J).
Fill level controls E; W; F; H, and J can be
used in conjunction with a power supply
certified Ex i in zones 1 and 21 (intrinsi-
cally safe).
WARNING
Explosion photection
The switching circuits of the fill
levels controls must be supplied
by an intrinsically safe circuit, e.g.,
through the installation of an ATEX-
compliant isolating amplifier by the
customer.
When selecting the isolating amplifier, keep
in mind that the limit values for the fill level
controls for internal voltage
Ui
, and internal
current intensity
Ii
must not be exceeded
(maximum output voltage
Uo
and maximum
output current
Io
of the isolating amplifier
must be less than
Ui
and
Ii
). Additionally,
when selecting the cable length (with inner
inductance
Lc
and inner capacitance
Cc
), the
maximum permissible values
Lo
and
Co
for
the isolating amplifier must be considered

WARNING
Phevent the pump fhom hunning
empty!
The pump’s lubricant reservoir must
be filled with suitable lubricant at
regular and appropriate intervals.
The intervals are defined by the
operator.
