Preselecting the exposure settings and releasing the exposure
Selecting the exposure parameters with the
patient symbol
Touch the patient symbol that best matches the patient.
The related kV/mA value appears at the right and the
exposure time (in sec) appears in the top center of the
touchscreen.
Changing the slice orientation preselection
When you touch this symbol in the submenu column (8),
the "Slice orientations" submenu line opens. In addition
to the combined TSA slice orientation with a longitudinal
thick slice, you can also pre-select 4 other slice orienta-
tions here:
TSA slice orientation without longitudinal thick slice
3 longitudinal slices (LS)
5 longitudinal slices (LS)
3 crossed TSA slices with a longitudinal thick slice.
When you preselect the TSA slice with a longitudinal
thick slice or the TSA slice without thick slice, an addi-
tional row with angle preselection options (0°, 5°, 10°,
and 15°) will appear.
NOTE

Following the exposure, the "TSA slice orientation with a
longitudinal thick slice" will be preselected as the default
setting.
Changing the slice thickness
only for the TSA slice orientation without
longitudinal thick slice in the molar region
(depth of 15 mm or more)
From a depth of 15 mm the submenu column displays an
icon for preselecting the slice thickness.
Touching this icon will open the submenu line “slice
thickness“.
The default factory setting for slice thickness is 2 mm.
You can also preselect slice thicknesses of
6 mm or 8 mm in this submenu.
Modifying the kV/mA values manually
If the default kV/mA combinations do not provide satis-
factory results, you can preselect intermediate kV/mA
values in this submenu using the –/+ keys in the sub-
menu line.
The system is now ready for a TSA exposure.
Release the exposure as usual.
