Description
Mode
Select the appropriate wireless mode. The default is Mixed 802.11b/g/n.
•
802.11b only: The maximum rate is 11 Mbps.
•
802.11g only: The maximum rate is 54 Mbps.
• 802.11n only: For 20M bandwidth, the maximum rate is 130 Mbps (150 Mbps
in short preamble); for 40M bandwidth, the maximum rate is 270 Mbps (300
Mbps in short preamble). You can select Long preamble or Short Preamble in
the Wireless Advanced Settings page. For details, refer to section 6.4.4 “Wire

less Advanced Settings”.
• Mixed 802.11b/g: It is compatible with 802.11b and 802.11g.
• Mixed 802.11n/g: It is compatible with 802.11n and 802.11g.
• Mixed 802.11b/g/n: It is compatible with 802.11b, 802.11n, and 802.11g.
Channel
Select the working channel of the wireless network.
Band Width
Select the bandwidth. For 20M bandwidth, the maximum rate is 130 Mbps (150
Mbps in short preamble); for 40M bandwidth, the maximum rate is 270 Mbps
(300 Mbps in short preamble).
Max Transmission
Rate
Select one from the drop-down list that displays all rates that the system sup-
ports.
Security Options
Set the security encryption of the wireless network, to prevent unauthorized ac
-
cess and listening. You can select None, Wep, WPA-PSK (TKIP), WPA2-PSK (AES), or
WPA-PSK (TKIP) + WPA2-PSK (AES). The following describes the settings in detail.
Security Options
• None: Data encryption is not adopted and the network is not secure. Any station can access the net
-
work. This option is not recommended.
•
Wep: Wired equivalent privacy. You can encrypt the data with WEP 64 bits or 128 bits.
