Command Usage

Available sfp-forced modes include:

Ports 49-52 (1000BASE SFP) support 1000sfp

Example

This forces the switch to use the 1000sfp mode for SFP port 28.

This command enables auto-negotiation for a given interface. Use the

1000BASE-T does not support forced mode. Auto-negotiation should
always be used to establish a connection over any 1000BASE-T port or
trunk.

When auto-negotiation is enabled the switch will negotiate the best
settings for a link based on the

capabilities

command. When auto-

negotiation is disabled, you must manually specify the link attributes with
the

If auto-negotiation is disabled, auto-MDI/MDI-X pin signal configuration will
also be disabled for the RJ-45 ports.
