7.1
Safety instructions for commissioning
When carrying out any work, carefully observe the information provided in Chapter "Safety
instructions (Page 11)".
Danger to life as a result of incorrect commissioning
Death, severe injury, material damage or loss of warranty rights can occur if the system is not
correctly and professionally commissioned.
• Only deploy our experts and service technicians from SIEMENS LDA Customer Services to
commission the control update
• The customer guarantees that he is fully aware of the following facts:
– Any change made by him or personnel that are not experts in the field to the converter
manufactured under contract will immediately invalidate permission to operate the
system. These include for example any actions contrary to recommendations provided in
operation or maintenance manuals and other documentation. This applies to the
complete plant/drive system/drive train in which the converter is installed.
– Until recertification, it is not permissible that the complete plant/drive system/drive train
is operated or used in any way.
Material damage caused by transport indicators that have become loose
In operation, as a result of high temperatures, the transport indicators can become detached
and fall into the device. Material or temperature damage may result.
• Remove the transport indicators before commissioning. Remove any adhesive residue from
the transport indicators using methylated spirits.
