6.3 Connecting the IPC
Connect the IPC to the power supply, the sensor box attached to the motor as well as to your
company network/Internet.
Note
Carefully observe the five safety rules (Page 8) when performing any work.
Note
When proceeding, also take into account descriptions, notes/instructions and preconditions for
the power supply in the operating instructions of the IPC (Page 16).
Note
Only route the LAN cable in protected areas
Only route the LAN cable in areas where access is protected to secure against unauthorized
access and manipulation.
The positions of the various connections are shown in the following diagram:

Precondition
• The IPC has been mounted.
• The following is available to connect the power supply:
– Two-wire supply line (cable cross-section 0.75 mm

to 2.5 mm

, 24 V DC)
– Protective conductor with minimum conductor cross-section 1.5 mm
2
• 2 LAN cables
– One LAN cable connects the IPC to the sensor box at the motor via a dedicated network.
– One LAN cable connects the IPC with the company network and the Internet.
