Local service PC
You require a local service PC to commission the system. The local service PC must support the
Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) in order to remotely access the IPC.
Only connect the local service PC physically and directly to the connectivity module (point-to-
point Ethernet cable). Protect your local service PC against unauthorized access. Under no
circumstance weaken the hardening measures of the connectivity module:
Carefully ensure that the ports required to use the User Datagram Protocol (UDP) and the
Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) are neither closed nor blocked.
LAN connection in the company network with Internet access
Carefully ensure that the LAN connections are established according to Siemens industry
standards.
Port 443 must be enabled in your company network for HTTPS communication to SIDRIVE IQ.
Carefully ensure that the ports required for the company's own firewalls for Windows updates
are neither closed nor blocked.
LAN connection between the IPC and sensor box
The IPC and the sensor box (Page 17) must be connected via a dedicated network (e.g. VLAN).
For the connection, set up a corresponding dedicated network (IPv4) with the appropriate
network infrastructure (network, switch, patch field, router, etc.). Ensure that the protocol of the
routers/switches involved set to full-duplex data transmission.
Accessing SIDRIVE IQ - Drive System Analyzer
To utilize the advantages of SIDRIVE IQ, you require access to the SIDRIVE IQ -
Drive System Analyzer.
When purchasing SIDRIVE IQ, you have several access options available. After ordering
SIDRIVE IQ, Siemens customer service automatically creates a user account for the email address
of the orderer. If you require additional access options, provide Siemens customer service
(Page 69) with additional email addresses.
You receive the following emails after Siemens customer service has created a user account:
• "User Credentials for Drive System Analyzer" email with the link to the Drive System Analyzer
and the appropriate login data
• Email with the connection key to the connectivity module
Initial passwords
You receive initial passwords for the following applications via a secure standard process:
• BIOS
• Windows user account
• X-Tools server
Recommendation: Change the initial passwords. Only use strong passwords.
