Quad. mean
The square mean is the square root of the
quotient of the sum of the squares of all values
contained in the shift register and their quantity.
0: No value in the shift register
or shift register contains an
invalid value.
1: Function yields a valid value.
Standard devia-
tion
The corrected sample variance of all values
contained in the shift register is formed as
follows:
0: No value in the shift register
or shift register contains an
invalid value.
1: Function yields a valid value.

Description
Input parameters
En
Enable parameter, see section Often used parameters
(Page 252).
Trigger
True / False
Digital input / output /
bit memory
STATUS_ERROR
With an edge transition 0 → 1, the value pending at the
"Input" is included in the shift register. The function pa-
rameters are calculated and the outputs are set.
See above for information on the behavior of the shift
register.
Reset
True / False
Digital input / output /
bit memory
STATUS_ERROR
With edge transition 0 → 1, triggered by a digital signal,
the shift register is reset. All values are deleted.
With the "True" setting, the shift register remains perma-
nently empty.
With the "False" setting, the shift register is never reset.
Input
Analog input / bit
memory
The analog value pending at the "Input" is entered in the
shift register with an edge transition 0 → 1 of the "Trigger"
input.
Function parameters
Number of values 1 .. 256
Maximum number of values in the shift register. The
number depends on the number of blocks used, see
above.
Function 1
See "Function" in
table above.
Statistical function, the result of which is sent to the "Val-
ue 1" and "Status 1" outputs.
Function 2
See "Function" in
table above.
Statistical function, the result of which is sent to the "Val-
ue 2" and "Status 2" outputs.
