Icons in the Menu
The following icons are displayed depending on which options are available for an
active or recorded programme:

Your set-top box can only display the icons that are transmitted by the channel.
The respective channel is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the icons.
Some channels transmit additional information, which allows a number of different
programme types to be distinguished. You will see the following genre icons in the EPG
and in the information bar in this case:
Z
Reception quality
: The greater the number of bars that are visible (5 in
total), the better the quality of reception of the current channel (see also
"Checking Input Parameters" on page 43).

Encrypted
: The channel transmits its programme in encrypted form.

Subtitle
: Subtitles are available for the programme being shown, see "Show-

Language
: The programme is broadcast via secondary audio programming
in various languages, see "Selecting the Language" on page 36.

Video channel
: The programme is broadcast with various camera settings,
see "Selecting the Video Channel" on page 35.

Aspect ratio
: The film currently running has an aspect ratio of 16:9, see

Black/white
: The film currently running is a black/white.

Stereo
: The film currently running is broadcast in stereo.

Dolby Digital
: The programme is broadcast in Dolby Digital Sound, see "Dig-

Tip of the day
: The programme is recommended as a tip of the day.

FSK
: (FSK = Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle der Filmwirtschaft e. V - censorship
body). The icon is always displayed in conjunction with an age rating, e.g.
FSK 12
for programmes that are not suitable for viewers under the age of
12 years.

Single recording
: A single recording is programmed for the relevant
programme.
X
Multiple recording
: A multiple recording is programmed for the relevant
programme.
Y
Copyright
: The recording is protected against overwriting / deletion.
